Michigan – Three men were arrested separately in Sault Ste. Marie for human trafficking after they allegedly went to a motel to meet up and have sex with who they thought were teenagers.
Sheriff Mike Bitnar said it was all part of a sting operation that came together in collaboration with Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson and the Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team {GHOST}.
Bitnar said Nowicki is a non-practicing Catholic priest who believed he was meeting up with a 15-year-old boy.
The three arrested
Aaron Nowicki, 37,
Benjamin Simpkin, 41,
Micah Rickerd, 23.
All were given a $100,000 bond with tether and multiple restrictions, including no contact with children, no cell phone or computers.
All three believed they were talking to someone who was 15-years-old or younger, according to the sheriff’s office.
